The industry output soared to 500,000 units, the market size exceeded 8 billion yuan, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13%. Automatic equipment began to gradually replace traditional manual equipment.
  • 2021–present: High-quality development stage. In 2024, the market size reached 12 billion yuan, the proportion of intelligent equipment continued to rise, and the precision polishing demand from high-end fields such as new energy vehicles, aerospace, and high-end electronics has become the core driver of industry growth.
  1. Domestic vs. International Technology Comparison of Metal Flat Polishing Machines
    Currently, the domestic and international metal flat polishing machine technologies show a pattern of "partial catch-up and overall gap."
    International giants such as Kemet (UK), Sokei (Japan), and Lamart (USA), as well as domestic high-quality manufacturers such as Tengyu and Heruite, hold obvious advantages in core areas such as ultra-precision control, multi-material compatibility, and long-term operation stability. Their equipment can stably achieve ultra-precision polishing effects of Ra 0.0005μm, compatible with more than 15 metal materials with different characteristics. The supporting intelligent system has a built-in library of 1,000 sets of process parameters, enabling rapid adaptation to different processing needs.
    However, overall, core components of domestic high-end equipment (such as PLC, frequency converters, touch screens, and other core control systems) still rely on imports. There is a gap between polishing consumables under complex working conditions and the international advanced level. Currently, international brands still account for 20% of the domestic high-end market share.
