Irregular scratches and surface burns tend to occur during the finishing of hard workpieces, which directly affect the roughness index and service stability of parts. The Alloy Steel Lapping Machine is equipped with a rigid frame, servo pressure regulating module and circulating cooling slurry supply system. Machining parameters can be programmed, and rough polishing and fine polishing can be carried out sequentially. Pressure, plate rotation speed and processing duration are independently adjustable. The buffer mechanism reduces instantaneous impact and lowers the accumulation of processing stress.
The rough polishing stage focuses on rapidly removing surface defects such as tool marks and oxide scales with a larger stock removal rate. Abrasive media with stronger cutting capacity are adopted and the pressure is set higher. The fine polishing stage aims to correct surface profile and optimize surface texture. Pressure and plate speed are reduced, and fine polishing media are used. The polishing medium is supplied in continuous circulation to timely carry away abrasive debris and grinding heat, prevent scratches caused by embedded particles, and restrain surface burns from high temperature.
All process recipes can be saved for stable reproduction in mass production. Alloy steel features high hardness and imposes stricter requirements on matching of polishing media and pressure. Proper parameter combination keeps the machined surface condition stable consistently. Finished workpieces have uniform flat surfaces and consistent surface texture. They are suitable for surface finishing of tooling templates, sealing components, metallographic specimens and other parts, meeting the precision forming requirements of various high-hardness metal workpieces.
