The stability of the operating environment is the basic prerequisite for precision lapping. The
single-side lapping machine adopts a precision micro-removal processing technology. Once airborne fine dust and suspended particles fall into the contact surface between the lapping plate and the workpiece, they will directly cause defects such as scratches, pitting and edge chipping on the workpiece surface, leading to the scrap of precision workpieces. Meanwhile, fluctuations in ambient temperature and humidity will cause thermal expansion and contraction of the lapping plate, change the flat reference of the plate surface, and result in excessive thickness difference and parallelism error of workpieces. In addition, ambient air flow and ground vibration interference will undermine the stability of lapping pressure and plate fitting, greatly reducing machining consistency.
Standardized process control is the core guarantee to avoid human errors and process errors. The single-side lapping machine has strict parameter standards for lapping liquid ratio, liquid supply flow rate, lapping pressure, spindle speed, processing time and plate dressing procedures. Omitting processes such as plate pre-dressing, cleaning and dust removal, and parameter pre-inspection will cause uneven plate wear and unbalanced slurry dispersion, resulting in deviation in local material removal of workpieces. Non-standard loading and unloading as well as improper pressure adjustment are prone to batch quality problems such as uneven stress on workpieces and out-of-tolerance flatness.
Strict environmental control can isolate external interference factors and stabilize the equipment processing benchmark; standardized process control can realize closed-loop controllability of process parameters and eliminate human operation deviations. Complementing each other, the two measures can continuously stabilize the machining accuracy of single-side lapping machine, effectively reduce defective problems such as scratches, warpage and uneven thickness, extend the service life of lapping plate consumables, reduce enterprise operation, maintenance and production costs, and support the high-quality, high-yield and mass stable production of precision workpieces.
